Caree started her artistic journey at 9 years old. She spent her days drawing caricatures of classmates and storyboarding ideas for Animaniacs and Tiny Toons. She discovered the vast range of opportunities within the art industry while studying for a graphic design certificate in high school, but opted for the pencil over the computer in pursuit of a career as a traditional animator. Caree earned her BFA in traditional animation from the Academy of Art University in San Francisco and is currently a member of their faculty as an online academic coach and instructor.
Caree’s work has been shown in galleries throughout Denver including the Tennyson and Santa Fe Art Districts. Her art is inspired by a passion for cultures developed through her work with refugee youth.
